When animals photobomb my shots, it’s the cutest thing. I don’t know about you, but I just can’t get mad at them. But when they photobomb a live camera during a broadcast and startle a meteorologist, you get a darn hilarious moment live on TV. This recently happened to an NBC6 South Florida weather presenter, and it was as charming as it was funny.
If your camera was a person, here’s what it would be like
They say people and pets start to look alike after some time. And if your “pet” is your camera, are you two starting to look alike too? Rachel and Daniel of Mango Street imagine what it would look like if the camera brands we use were people. In this light-hearted sketch, they show us what they imagined, so let’s see if you agree.
A pair of “headless” cats wins 2022 Comedy Pet Photo Awards
It’s that time of the year again: some of my favorite photography contests are announcing the winners. The Comedy Pet Photo Awards is one of them, and the 2022 winners have just been revealed.
This year’s winner is Kenichi Morinaga with his photo of two cats sitting on a fence cheek to cheek… or better to say neck to neck. Of course, there are category winners as well, and we’re sharing all of them with you today.
Hilarious TikTok trend mocks street photographers and how they approach people
Perhaps you’ve noticed the recent trend on TikTok and Instagram, with street photographers approaching people, complimenting their style, and asking for a photo. I suddenly started seeing a gazillion Reels and TikTok videos like this, and there’s now a trend that mocks it… And it’s absolutely hilarious. I found a couple of videos to share, and I hope they will make this Monday a little better for you as they did for me.
Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards invites you to join them with funniest 2022 entries so far
Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards is one of those contests that always makes me eagerly wait for its results. There is still a month left before it’s closed for entries, but hey, that doesn’t mean they won’t make our day today!
To help us start off August and this work week on a positive note, Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards has shared with us some of the best photos submitted to the contest so far. They will make you giggle, improve your mood, but also prompt you to submit your own photos and who knows – perhaps become the next Comedy Wildlife photographer of the year.
You don’t need a pet? Think twice with Comedy Pet Photography Awards 2022 finalists
Comedy Pet Photography Awards has just announced its 2022 finalists. It’s one of those competitions that always put a smile on my face, just like its sister contest dedicated to wildlife “comedians.” And just as always, the selection of shortlists will brighten up your day and make you get another (or your first) four-legged or feathered friend.
What is this? Security camera captures weird creature in the night outside a Texas Zoo
Although surveillance cameras are used for, obviously, surveillance, they’ve seen their fair share of weird, funny, and awesome stuff. A surveillance camera at a Texas zoo recently captured something super-strange. So strange, that they asked the public to help them identify the creature in the photo. Can you tell what it is?
People ask you to lower your prices? Sing them this song [NSFW]
If you’re a photographer, chances are people have asked you to take photos of them. No, not for the full price of your service, because “you’re too expensive.” Or even better, they want it done “for exposure,” or because you’re friends and “you own that big fancy camera.”
Well, the next time this happens, we have a song for you. It was written and performed by Laura Jane Barnes (Woah Dude) of Simply Crochet, and it’s meant for all artists and creatives selling either their work or their skills.
Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards invites you to submit photos with hilarious unseen 2021 entries
Nope, it’s not an April Fool’s joke – the 2022 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards is now open for entries. Considering the nature of the contest, I’d say that the date is totally appropriate, and from today on you can submit your own funny wildlife images.
The lovely folks behind this contest have a great way to inspire you to join them. They shared with DIYP some previously unseen photos from the 2021 contest that will inspire you to either go out shooting or search your archive for some hilarious images. Or if nothing else – they will make your day brighter, and we sure all need this at the end of the workweek.

As we’re wrapping up 2021, ye wanted to remind you (and ourselves) of some of the funniest stories we reported about over the course of this year. We bring you our choice of top ten stories and hope to put a smile on your face today!
